Miss. (WLBT) – Your next most valuable coworker could be A.I. Business leaders delivered that message today at the inaugural Elevate Conference in Gluckstadt
Professionals from across central Mississippi attended the conference to learn how to grow in their careers.
C Spire CEO Suzy Hays said employees can use AI agents for manual tasks such as PowerPoint presentations. She said that gives employees time for detailed work.
Business owners encouraged professionals to use digital media platforms for community engagement. Other speakers encouraged attendees to use social media to strengthen business development.
The students said the conference taught them how to use AI as an idea builder and will help them get a head start on using AI in their future careers.
Daryl Thompson Jr. is a computer science major at Holmes and will transfer to Mississippi State to study cybersecurity. He said he wants to build a brand to make people less afraid of AI.
“If people fear what they don’t understand, I want to help them lean in and understand it… AI is an asset and a creation. We created it. We’re supposed to use it for our benefit.”
Business leaders also discussed how employers can connect multiple generations inside the workplace.
The CEO of C Spire said all employees should work together to make a difference and build stability in their careers.
